History/Background Information: George V sixpence series struck between 1923 - 1936 in the Union of SA. This being the first year of issue and part of the first series of coins minted at the new Pretoria Mint.

Condition Notes: A stunning rendition of the 1923 proof sixpence. Slate grey toning sits atop fully mirrored fields which jump life in a variety of colors when tilted to the light. Intricate details fully sharp as if hand engraved.

 

A rare find in such lofty grade.
