History/Background Information: A short lived series issued between 1892 and 1897. Struck at the ZAR mint in Pretoria. First year of issue.

Condition Notes: A wonderful AU specimen of the ever popular first year of issue ZAR halfcrown series. Superbly toned in a variety of hues including magenta, bottle green and deep orange. Suprisingly free of significant markings and decidedly choice for the grade assigned.
